Antietam Entertainment, formerly Antietam Recreation, a thriving dinner theater in Hagerstown, MD. began business as both a children’s recreation camp during summer months and a dinner theater during the fall and winter. They have since separated the businesses and now focus solely on dinner shows.
Early on theater tickets were offered via phone and/or email. But that became too overwhelming after the first couple of seasons. About two years ago they contacted me to put up an online ordering system for them. That system worked but it was quirky and it wasn’t streamlined enough.
When they contacted me this season for a better approach I suggested they use WooCommerce for their online sales. There were a few conditions: it to had integrate with their preferred payment gateway; and they wanted to allow ticket holders to pick their own seats, to name a few.
Other conditional requirements were that they needed tickets to have seat numbers on them, as well as allow patrons to buy tickets to multiple shows at one time.
Thanks to Tickera, an event ticketing system, and WooCommerce my clients’ patrons can seamlessly purchase tickets and reserve their seating 24/7.
This has significantly streamlined their ticket order processing and as a result they anticipate at least a 20% increase in sales this season.
